WHAT TYPES OF PACKAGING METHODS ARE AVAILABLE?

The sector of the packaging process is very broad and can be integrated with many different systems. Different types of packaging methods are used in all sectors. We have told you 4 of these for you:

SHRINK PACKAGING

Shrink film is a material made of polymer plastic.

SHRINK PACKAGING

Shrink film is a material made of polymer plastic. When this plastic film heat is applied, the material shrinks and takes its shape by tightly wrapping around the desired product. The heat treatment can be carried out by means of an electric, steam or gas-fired heat gun. In larger volume productions, products which are passed through a system called "heat tunnel" are wrapped with Shrink Film. Films forming the coating material are usually produced from Polyethylene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP) raw material.

FILM WRAP / POLYWRAPPING

Generally, plastic films produced from polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) raw material are wrapped on the product or prepackage and then sealed with adhesive, pressure sensitive tape or heat source. In some cases, the plastic film is produced in the form of bags or bags and then packaged.

STRETCH WRAP

With the Stretch Wrap packaging method, plastic films that can stretch at high speed are wrapped around the product or packaging. The elastic structure of the material tightly surrounds the products and holds them together. No heat is applied to this process. Contrary to shrink packaging, shrink packaging can even heat the film to make it easier to open and lose its firmness.

Packaging can be done manually, semi-automatically or fully automatic. It is usually used to pack large carts or pallets. For example, fast shipping companies such as FedEx cover AKEs with stretch film so that the containers called AKE are not damaged.

PAPER WRAP

Paper or other types of paper, known as pouch paper, can be used to pack products or hold multiple packaged products together. Some papers prevent wear and tear of packaged products. For example, this method may be preferred for 6 pack beverage packages. Packages are sealed with glue, pressure sensitive tape or heat seal.
